Being appointed as the Executor of a Will can be a daunting task, and if the Deceased owned property or had substantial assets, a Grant of Probate is the first step. Our Probate and Estates team has the expertise and personal understanding to simplify the process for Executors.

A Grant of Probate is a certificate issued by the Supreme Court of New South Wales, confirming that the Will of the Deceased has been proven as valid. The Grant of Probate is the key that allows the Executors of an estate to “unlock” the Deceased’s assets.

At Rankin Ellison, we take pride in providing an efficient and timely service in assisting the Executors to obtain a Grant of Probate. We attend to the filing of all documentation required by the Court to approve the grant.

Once Probate has been granted, we are able to assist Executors in administration and distribution matters, helping them through to the finalisation of the estate and the discharge of their duties under the Deceased’s Will.
